Certified Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy Technician - Independent Pharmacy AtlanticMD Pharmacy - Egg Harbor Township, NJ AtlanticMD Pharmacy, a growing independent pharmacy dedicated to patient-focused care, is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team. We pride ourselves on building strong relationships with our patients, providers, and community. We are looking for a motivated technician with experience in independent pharmacy operations and insurance billing who is passionate about providing excellent service. Responsibilities Accurately process and fill prescriptions under pharmacist supervision Submit and resolve insurance claims, including billing and prior authorizations Follow up on rejected claims and coordinate with insurance companies and prescribers Assist patients with insurance questions and provide professional customer service Support pharmacists with medication therapy management and compliance packaging Help coordinate and set up deliveries when needed Maintain accurate inventory, order medications, and restock shelves Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and company policies Work as a team player to support colleagues and ensure patient satisfaction

Qualifications Preferred:

Prior experience in an independent pharmacy

Preferred:

Strong background in pharmacy billing, insurance processing, and claim resolution Current state Pharmacy Technician license/certification (in good standing) Strong computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy software systems Excellent attention to detail, multitasking, and problem-solving skills Professional, dependable, and motivated to grow with the pharmacy Preferred Skills Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid and commercial insurance plans Experience with specialty billing and prior authorization workflows Familiarity with medication synchronization and compliance packaging Bilingual in Spanish and/or Arabic strongly preferred Schedule & Availability Part-time to start , with potential for more hours as the pharmacy grows Saturday availability is preferred Flexibility to occasionally assist with deliveries or extended coverage as needed If you are an experienced Pharmacy Technician with independent pharmacy and billing expertise , we would love to hear from you.
