Our team offers a wide range of services, including home support, companionship, homemaker assistance, and skilled nursing therapies, ensuring compassionate and professional care tailored to individual needs. Job Overview We are seeking a highly qualified and detail-oriented Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in accounting principles, regulatory compliance, and financial analysis. As a CPA within our organization, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring adherence to industry standards, and supporting strategic financial planning to enhance operational efficiency. Duties Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), ensuring accuracy and compliance. Conduct audits and internal reviews to verify the integrity of financial data and identify areas for improvement. Manage corporate accounting functions including general ledger reconciliation, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processing. Oversee regulatory reporting requirements, including tax filings and compliance with securities law where applicable. Assist with budgeting, financial planning, and analysis to support organizational growth initiatives such as mergers & acquisitions or asset management strategies. Implement and monitor internal controls related to SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance to safeguard company assets. Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms to streamline bookkeeping and financial reporting processes. Provide guidance on estate planning, wills, trusts & estate law as it relates to client or organizational needs when applicable. Skills Proven experience in public accounting with strong knowledge of tax experience and technical accounting standards. Proficiency in financial software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or equivalent tools for bookkeeping and financial analysis. Deep understanding of GAAP, tax accounting practices, double entry bookkeeping, and regulatory reporting requirements. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial concepts and prepare detailed financial reports. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in account reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation tasks. Knowledge of securities law, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), non-profit accounting, and private equity is advantageous. Effective communication skills for financial report writing and interpretation to diverse stakeholders. Ability to handle multiple responsibilities such as payroll management, asset management, budgeting, and general ledger reconciliation efficiently.
