Job Description
Key Responsibilities Will operate within a dual-capacity structure, maintaining and serving a core group of CPA clients while partnering with the Managing Partner on strategic tax planning initiatives for family office relationships. Initial Structure (Approximate Allocation): ~50% traditional CPA services (approximately 20 hours week in the early phase) ~50% strategic planning support alongside the Managing Partner Responsibilities include: Execute traditional CPA responsibilities for individual and business clients Maintain and/or transition an existing book of business (if applicable) Advise private businesses and entrepreneurs on tax strategy Support proactive tax planning conversations for select family office clients Participate in prospect meetings and growth discussions Collaborate with external legal and tax advisors as appropriate Professional Qualifications The ideal CPA & Family Wealth Planner will have 12+ years of progressive experience advising private businesses and entrepreneurs, including both tax compliance and proactive tax planning, with direct exposure to high-net-worth families ($25M+ net worth).
Key Qualifications:
Active CPA license Experience advising private businesses and entrepreneurs Experience working with families with $25M+ in total net worth Strong foundation in tax compliance and tax planning Executive presence and maturity to engage business owners and multi-generational families Existing book of business or ability to transition clients is advantageous but not required Personal Attributes The successful CPA & Family Wealth Planner will value trust, discretion, and long-term relationship building.Key personal attributes include:
Entrepreneurial spirit and builder mentality Executive presence and relational maturity High integrity and discretion Ownership mindset and accountability Desire to create meaningful client impact rather than operate within high-volume compliance environments Resilience and willingness to operate beyond a traditional 9-5 structure Education & Travel Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting (advanced degree preferred) Active CPA license required Light travel - primarily prospect meetings approximately once every 2-3 weeks Compensation Compensation structure is flexible and customizable based on ownership participation, revenue generation, and client transition, and overall production.Similar remote jobs
