• Full-time Penfield Addiction Ministries is a faith-based treatment center for men suffering from drug and alcohol addiction.

We are looking for a certified counselor at our men's campus in Union Point, GA to provide counseling services for our clients. Since we are a faith-based treatment center, counseling and teaching are done from a Christian perspective, and our clients are required to attend spirituality groups in addition to 12 step programs. This job requires a minimum of a level one certification from either GACA or ICRC with preference given to level two and above or students working on their licensure. Salary is commensurate with experience and level of certification.

CLASSIFICATIONS

: This position is a certified counselor position. Status is full-time, salaried, and FLSA exempt. The Campus Director supervises this position.

PRIMARY PURPOSE

: The primary duty is to regularly provide individual and group counseling; provide assigned classroom instruction consistent with specified agency-approved curriculum; maintain an assigned caseload of clients for individual counseling, the achievement of outcomes, progress, and preparation for discharge; follow all basic terms and conditions of employment.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

: This position is accountable to and reports to the Campus Director and is accountable to other administrative staff. This position is principally responsible for providing drug abuse treatment and education programs and services to clients. Services are limited to those practices sanctioned by the certifying board and shall, in any event, be limited to the provision of chemical dependency treatment, under the supervision of a Certified Clinical Supervisor; CADC;

CCADC, LPC, LCSW.
