In this vital role, you will assist surgeons and healthcare professionals during operative procedures by preparing the operating room, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring all surgical supplies are available and properly organized. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, adherence to strict safety protocols, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care. Day 5x8-Hour (06:30 - 15:00) Duties Prepare the operating room by arranging surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment according to procedural requirements. Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies efficiently and accurately. Maintain strict adherence to sterilization and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety. Count surgical supplies before, during, and after procedures to prevent discrepancies or omissions. Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, sterilized, and maintained for optimal functionality. Support preoperative and postoperative patient care activities as directed by the surgical team. Document procedures accurately in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. Collaborate with nursing staff, anesthesiologists, and surgeons to facilitate smooth operative workflows. Qualifications Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program is required. Proven experience working in surgical settings within hospitals or outpatient surgery centers. Strong knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical instrumentation, and aseptic practices. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in high-pressure situations. Effective communication skills to coordinate seamlessly with multidisciplinary teams. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.
