In this vital role, you will assist during surgical procedures by preparing operating rooms, sterilizing instruments, and supporting surgeon to ensure seamless and safe surgeries. Your expertise in sterile techniques, anatomy, and patient care will contribute directly to positive patient outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where precision, teamwork, and attention to detail are paramount. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in surgical technology, including experience in trauma centers, emergency medicine, or critical care settings. Duties Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly before procedures begin Assist surgeon during surgeries by passing instruments, suturing wounds, and managing surgical tools with precision and aseptic technique Maintain accurate medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems Support infection control protocols by adhering to strict aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures Collect data related to surgical procedures for quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesia, nursing, and physicians to deliver comprehensive patient care during surgeries Help with maintaining TJC and State required documentation Skills Independent thinker, and team player Willing to learn OR experience a plus, but will train Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for maintaining a sterile environment Ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced setting Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are a plus Join our team if you're passionate about delivering exceptional surgical care!
