Job Description
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), LDRP
- PRN, Nights Certified Surgical Technologist, CST
- LDRP Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together Work location: Texas Health Allen, 1105 Central Expressway North, Allen Texas, 75013 Work hours: PRN, 7:00pm
- 7:00am Mom/Baby Department highlights:
- Level II Maternal Designation with Level II NICU
- Certified Nurse Midwife Hospitalist Based Model
- 8 LDRPs, 5 Antepartum Rooms, 2 Operating Rooms
- 40•45 deliveries per month • Small team focused on BIG teamwork!
- H.S. Diploma or Equivalent and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009 required OR
- Other Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse Program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology upon hire required OR
- Other Graduate of an accredited surgery technology program, Vocational Nurse Program or graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology upon hire preferred
- Women's Health experience preferred
- 1 year current operating room experience preferred
- CST
- Certified Surgical Technologist CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and agraduate of an accredited surgical tech program Upon Hire required or
- CST
- Certified Surgical Technologist CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) and was employed to practice surgical technology in a health care facility before September 1, 2009 Upon Hire required or
- CST
- Certified Surgical Technologist CST (NBSTSA) or TS-C (NCCT) graduate/completion of a military training program in surgical technology Upon Hire required or
- LVN
- Licensed Vocational Nurse Upon Hire required and
- BCLS
- Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Upon Hire required and
- CPT
- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually within 90 days required What You Will Do
- Assist in providing peri-operative care for a patient population that includes Infants, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatrics
- Assist with stocking Unit (Rooms and Supplies)
- Attend Vaginal Deliveries
- Preoperatively assist R.N. circulator in formulating plan of care
- Assist as needed in coordinating patient care peri-operatively and assume responsibility and accountability for behavior in order to maintain standards for professional nursing practice
- Post-operatively follow proper procedures for care of instruments, supplies and equipment. Under supervision, assist RN circulator with post-operative duties
- Assiss in the delivering of nursing care in a manner that minimizes the risk of transfer of infection and accidental contamination. Additional perks of being a Texas Health
