Chaplain Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and spiritually-oriented individual to serve as a Chaplain in our organization. The Chaplain will provide emotional and spiritual support to patients, families, and staff during times of illness, loss, or crisis.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Offer pastoral care and counseling to individuals and families in hospitals, hospices, and other healthcare settings. 2. Perform religious ceremonies and rituals as requested by patients and their families. 3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to address the spiritual needs of patients. 4. Provide education and support to staff on spiritual care practices. 5. Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions. 6. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to coordinate care for patients. 7. Document patient interactions and interventions in accordance with organizational policies. 8. Respond to emergency situations and provide spiritual support as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

1. Graduate degree in theology, divinity, or a related field. 2. Ordination or endorsement by a recognized religious organization. 3. Pastoral experience in a healthcare or community setting. 4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. 5. Ability to provide spiritual care to individuals of diverse backgrounds. 6. Proficiency in crisis intervention and counseling techniques. 7. Strong ethical standards and respect for confidentiality. 8.
