Job Description

Otter Creek Farmstead is a high-end hunting lodge offering a refined, intimate guest experience in a beautiful rural setting. We're looking for a talented Sous Chef or Chef with a background in fine dining who can bring creativity, precision, and professionalism to our kitchen. This is a unique opportunity to step away from the traditional restaurant grind and take ownership of a culinary program in a more relaxed, but still high-standard, environment. What You'll Do Assist in the preparation of high-quality breakfasts, lunches, and dinners with attention to detail Create memorable dining experiences that complement the lodge atmosphere Execute dishes across a range of platforms, including wood-fired pizza ovens, combi ovens, sous vide, convection ovens, and a Montague broiler Utilize an extensive live-fire program featuring Lang Smokers, Evo Grills, Asado Cross, Santa Maria grills, Kalamazoo Hybrid Fire Grills, and pellet smokers Maintain kitchen cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards Collaborate with lodge staff to ensure seamless guest experiences What We're Looking For Proven fine dining experience (required) Experience with wood-fire grilling and smoking techniques preferred Strong culinary technique and plating skills Passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction Experience with wine pairings is a strong plus Reliable, professional, and adaptable in a lodge-style setting What We Offer Competitive salary of $40,000/year On-site housing and utilities included 1 week paid time off Stable, year-round position Bonus potential based on performance
