As aChefat Sodexo inTaunton Nuffield Hospital, you'll play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals that support patient wellbeing and enhance the overall dining experience.
You'll be responsible for managing your own section of the kitchen, ensuring every dish meets our high standards.

What you'll do:
Order supplies in line with Sodexo policy using approved suppliers.
Maintain clean, safe kitchen and service areas, reporting issues promptly.
Complete all Sodexo compliance paperwork, checks, and records accurately.
Achieve successful results in all internal and external audits.
Manage monthly billing and close accounts on time.
Lead, train, and support staff to deliver excellent service standards.
Complete weekly rotas on time and manage labour within budget.
Remain professional, adaptable, and detail-focused while maintaining strong communication and safeguarding standards.
What you bring:
General Secondary Education or equivalent (English and Maths essential)Well-developed English language skills (written and spoken)Food Hygiene Certificate level 3 - preferableAt least 3 years' experience within high volume cateringManagement experience encompassing team developmentExcellent culinary skillsHold valid 'Intermediate Food Hygiene' certificateExcellent spoken and written EnglishStrong problem solving and organizational skillsStrong leadership and communication skills with all stakeholdersGood IT skills with knowledge of word and excelHigh standards of personal presentationExperience with Food Allergies, Special Diets and LabellingUp to date with latest trends and industry developmentsWhat we offer:
