Job Description

Head Chef The Head Chef will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen and leading a team of culinary professionals in creating and executing high-quality dishes. They will work closely with the restaurant manager to develop menus, manage food costs, and ensure a smooth and efficient operation. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen, as well as strong leadership and communication skills. Fluency in English is preferred but not required. This is a full-time position with a salary of $1300 per month. As the Head Chef, your duties will include:
  • Developing and updating menus based on seasonal ingredients and customer feedback
  • Supervising kitchen staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Ensuring consistent quality and presentation of all dishes
  • Maintaining inventory levels and ordering supplies as needed to meet demand
  • Enforcing proper food safety and sanitation practices at all times
  • Managing food costs by accurately tracking waste, portion sizes, and inventory levels
  • Collaborating with the restaurant manager to create promotions or special events to attract customers
  • Staying updated on culinary trends and incorporating new techniques or ingredients into menu items
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in a high-volume restaurant environment
  • Culinary degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team of kitchen staff
  • Extensive knowledge of different cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with kitchen staff, management, and other departments within the restaurant
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing situations and solve problems efficiently
