Job Title:
Chemical Engineering Student Job Description This role involves setting up and operating pilot equipment such as evaporators, crystallizers, and boilers. You will operate various tools including hoses, pumps, heaters, and centrifuges throughout testing processes. Additionally, you will record and document outputs from the equipment, such as pressure, temperature, gauge levels, and chemical data. The position requires performing analytical testing like titrations, spectroscopy, solids composition, crystal characterization, and microscopy. You will document all laboratory results and collaborate with team members to develop products per customer applications. Maintaining a safe, clean working lab space by following basic laboratory practices is essential. Responsibilities Set up and operate pilot equipment like evaporators, crystallizers, and boilers. Operate simple hoses, pumps, heaters, and centrifuges during testing processes. Record and document outputs, including pressure, temperature, gauge levels, and chemical data. Perform analytical testing such as titrations, spectroscopy, and microscopy. Document laboratory results and collaborate with team members for product development. Maintain a safe and clean laboratory environment by following basic practices. Essential Skills Experience in any laboratory setting and testing. Basic understanding of lab processes. Ability to operate laboratory equipment and perform testing procedures. Willingness to work night shifts. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in chemistry, biology, titration, and reverse osmosis. Knowledge in crystallization and inorganic analytical testing. Background in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, and inorganic chemistry. Work Environment The position is set in a lab environment, working alongside approximately 15 others. The schedule is Monday from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. as testing needs to be performed 24/7. Candidates will gain substantial experience, potentially equivalent to 2 to 5 years, within a year or two, covering R D, chemical processes, and scale-up processes. There is the potential for contract-to-hire conversion, with pay raises for well-performing individuals. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
