  • Full-time The Director of Operations is a senior leadership role responsible for leading and aligning the daily operations of the restaurant across all departments.
This individual oversees and develops operational leaders while driving excellence in systems execution, food safety, speed of service, team performance, and guest experience. The Director of Operations is responsible for creating scalable processes, fostering accountability, and ensuring strong collaboration between all operational areas to achieve restaurant goals. This role requires a highly systems-driven, ownership-minded, and experience-focused leader who is committed to continuous improvement and cultivating a culture that reflects Chick-fil-A's values.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership & Oversight Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring alignment and consistency. Lead, coach, and develop leaders to ensure strong leadership execution across all operational areas. Ensure operational systems are functioning effectively and continuously optimized for efficiency, accuracy, food quality, and guest satisfaction. Maintain a high standard of execution across all shifts and service channels. Systems & Process Optimization Develop, implement, and refine operational systems that improve speed, efficiency, communication, labor effectiveness, and overall restaurant performance. Ensure strong coordination between front-of-house and back-of-house operations to create seamless execution during all business periods. Analyze operational data and performance trends to identify opportunities for improvement and implement action plans. Lead operational innovation initiatives that improve team effectiveness and guest experience. Performance Management & Accountability Monitor and drive key operational metrics including: Speed of Service (SOS) Customer Experience Monitor (CEM) scores Food safety compliance Order accuracy Labor productivity Waste management Hold operational leaders accountable for achieving performance goals and maintaining Chick-fil-A standards. Team Leadership & Development Build and sustain a high-performance leadership culture rooted in accountability, teamwork, growth, and servant leadership. Mentor and develop Directors and emerging leaders to strengthen the restaurant's leadership pipeline. Promote a positive and engaging work environment that supports retention and team member growth. Guest Experience & Hospitality Excellence Ensure exceptional guest experiences across all service channels including dine-in, carryout, drive-thru, mobile ordering, delivery, and catering support. Lead operational strategies that improve guest satisfaction, efficiency, and consistency. Address operational and guest experience challenges quickly and effectively. Food Safety, Cleanliness & Compliance Ensure compliance with all Chick-fil-A food safety, cleanliness, and operational standards. Ensure all operational areas maintain excellence in cleanliness, organization, and safety standards. Director on Shift Responsibilities Serve as Director on Shift when needed, overseeing total restaurant operations and providing leadership support across all departments. Lead the team during high-volume periods while ensuring operational excellence and strong guest experiences. Make real-time operational decisions to maintain efficiency and service quality.

Qualifications:
Proven leadership experience in restaurant operations, hospitality, or multi-department management. Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing leadership teams. Strong operational knowledge across both front-of-house and back-of-house systems. Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of operational metrics, systems management, and performance accountability. Ability to analyze operational data and implement strategic improvements. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Strong understanding and embodiment of Chick-fil-A's culture of CARE. Meet all standard Director on Shift qualifications.
