This position ensures that children and youth served achieve safety, stability, and timely permanency through high quality case management practices. The position provides leadership and oversight of contracted case management organizations and internal teams to ensure compliance with federal and state child welfare laws, Florida Department of Children and Families requirements, and community-based care standards. This role focuses on improving outcomes related to safety, permanency, and well-being while strengthening collaboration with providers, the judiciary and community partners.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with HFC customers, caregivers and staff
  • Ensure that services align with the organization's mission, vision and values
  • Provide management, oversight and support to the training, quality team, transitional age youth, integrated health, fatherhood, compliance committee and case management organizations
  • Lead the development and implementation of strategies that improved permanency outcomes for children and youth
  • Ensure children and youth are assessed and staffed timely for higher levels of care and cases are prepared, evaluated and served by APD when appropriate
  • Analyze performance data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement across the case management system
  • Participate in the Sunshine Health meetings, trainings and ensuring contract measures are met
  • Provide oversight and participate in accreditation activities with the Council on Accreditation
  • Assist contracted providers with initiatives that will help drive system wide performance
  • Make recommendations to the executive team on performance, funding, quality and compliance enhancement opportunities
  • Support and navigate quality assurance reviews and data requests for the organization from internal and external customers
  • Assist subcontracted providers with co-creating their programs to meet the unique needs of the youth and families needing services
  • Participate in contract negotiations and performance management processes
  • Assist in preparing for audits and internal and external reviews
  • Represent the agency in statewide or national meetings
  • Assist with responses to state or federal government related to investigations on case reviews of cases
  • Provide assistance in responding to the judiciary in the 10th Circuit court and DCF Children's Legal Services
  • When called upon by the executive management team, assist individual case managers, their supervisors and CBC personnel on strategies for case navigation
  • Coordinate and facilitate parent advisory council meetings quarterly
  • Attend events and support activities representing HFC as requested
  • Perform special projects as assigned Bachelor's degree in social services, health care, business or related field required.
Master's degree preferred. Five to ten years of management experience working in child welfare require with a strong understanding of Florida's child welfare system. Requires a minimum of three to five years of professional experience in the related field & supervisory experience. Extensive experience in child welfare and/or child abuse prevention preferred. Must have excellent organization and follow up skills, be process oriented, be able to multi-task, have good analytical ability, have good oral and written communication skills, customer service skills, contract negotiation skills and proven leadership skills.

From $90,000.00 per year
