Opportunity:
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be responsible for managing the full scope of finance-related activity including financial planning, fund taxation, risk management, and financial reporting, with the support of an established accounting team. Ensuring compliance with SEC requirements is a critical component of the role.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the finance and accounting function for the business, including tax, treasury, and compliance Provide technical and strategic expertise on fund taxation matters Ensure compliance with relevant SEC and governmental regulations Proactively manage internal and external risks Deliver timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reports, including fund accounting results to both our investors and senior leadership team Lead administrative programs such as IT, HR, purchasing, and insurance Support senior executive team with fundraising, investor relations, and other key activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, law, or a related field 5+ years at Big 4 within the tax practice with engagement focus on registered investment advisors Lower-middle market experience Local/serious about relocation to be on-site in Miami, FL Exceptional analytical, leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or Master's degree CPA license In-house compliance experience with an SEC registered private equity firm
