Chief of Colorectal Surgery

A healthcare organization on Long Island is actively seeking a licensed Physician to join its growing team as the new Chief of Colorectal Surgery, with responsibilities spanning clinical and administrative functions across the residency programs. 

Responsibilities:

Leading and developing the colorectal surgery program Expanding access to advanced colorectal care, including minimally invasive and robotic surgery Collaborating across the system to enhance quality, outcomes, and patient experience Supporting the growth of endoscopic and surgical services Mentoring and collaborating with surgical colleagues and multidisciplinary teams Performing other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Colon and Rectal Surgery (ABCRS) Completion of an ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency and Colorectal Surgery fellowship Eligible for or currently holding an unrestricted New York State medical license DEA license (or eligibility) Demonstrated expertise in robotic, laparoscopic, and endoscopic techniques Leadership and program development skills Collaboration and teamwork abilities Strong communication skills

Desired Qualifications:

Advanced education in Healthcare Management Additional relevant certifications Extensive experience in Colorectal Surgery Proficiency in Advanced Surgical Techniques
