Job Description

We are looking for a highly organized and execution-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to help lead and scale our expanding accounting and advisory firm. This individual will act as a strategic business partner to the firm's three Partners while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization. The COO will be responsible for operational leadership across workflow management, team accountability, human resources, staffing coordination, client service processes, technology initiatives, and internal systems. This role is ideal for someone with experience in accounting firm operations or professional services who excels in fast-paced, client-focused environments. The successful candidate will bring a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with the ability to improve processes, develop teams, implement scalable systems, and strengthen overall operational performance as the firm continues to grow.

Operations & Workflow Management Financial Management & Internal Operations Human Resources & Team Leadership Technology & Process Improvement Client Service & Execution Strategic & Operational Support Qualifications 5+ years of operational leadership experience Prior experience within an accounting firm or professional services environment strongly preferred Experience overseeing HR operations and employee management Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills Strong technology aptitude with systems and process orientation Experience with workflow software, operational systems, or technology implementations preferred Financial literacy and understanding of professional services business models Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills Ability to operate both strategically and tactically within a growing organization Preferred Experience CPA firm operations or professional services management HR leadership or people operations experience Practice management software and workflow systems Process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives Technology implementation or IT/vendor management Experience supporting a founder-led business Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary Performance-based bonus opportunity Potential profit-sharing opportunity Comprehensive benefits package PTO package
