Duties Help As the Chief Records Officer, you will: Support the Archivist of the United Stes by communicing across the Federal Government, the mission-critical importance of Federal records management; communice to executive and staff levels of government about records management responsibilities, and about records management developments and issues relive to compliance with stutory records management requirements. Ensure improvement of appraisal, scheduling, training access, and preservion of records through oversight of records management in federal agencies, especially for electronic records. Evalue subordine units' objectives, policies, procedures, their plans for short-and long term effectiveness, their resource utilizion and stewardship, and their financial due diligence. Collabore with NARA's Director, Congressional Affairs in briefing and testify before Congress on records management mters. Provide executive direction supporting front-line teams and their management, encouraging their authority to propose process improvement and services development/delivery for better customer service. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Must complete a 1-year SES supervisory probionary period, unless previously completed. In addition, periodic re-investigion is required no ler than five years after selection and least every succeeding five years.
