Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Child Care Floater to join our early childhood education team. This role involves supporting teachers and classroom activities, fostering a positive learning environment, and assisting in daily maintenance of the center. A floater provides classroom coverage and operational support across age groups to maintain ratios and ensure smooth daily operations. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working with young children and a strong understanding of childhood development principles, including special education needs and behavior management strategies. Experience with toddlers and preschoolers is preferred. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of children in a nurturing setting that emphasizes literacy, math, and social skills through innovative curriculum development such as Montessori or other early childhood education methods. We are a nature-based preschool so must love taking children outdoors to learn and play. Duties Provide classroom coverage to maintain ratio compliance Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment and implementing behavior management techniques Assist with daily routines, transitions, and supervision Help facilitate activities that promote social-emotional growth, early childhood education, and inclusive learning experiences Support classroom organization, including setting up learning materials and maintaining cleanliness Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to ensure a collaborative approach to child development Ensure safety protocols are followed at all times during daily activities and transitions Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, private school settings, or similar environments preferred Experience with behavior management, literacy education, and classroom management techniques preferred Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members Demonstrated ability to work well within a team-oriented environment and adapt to diverse classroom needs Passion for nurturing young learners and supporting their educational journey through engaging activities and compassionate care
Pay:
