Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking an attentive, caring Child Care Center Teacher, Assistant Teacher or Aide to join our team at Cougar Cub Child Care Center. We are looking for someone that will have good communication skills with the director, staff and families and children that attend our Child Care Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, fostering their growth and development through engaging activities. This role requires an understanding of childhood development principles, effective classroom management skills, and is able to meet the physical demands of the position. Responsibilities Help develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in areas such as language, social skills, and motor skills. Provide high-quality childcare in a safe, nurturing environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Monitor and assess children's progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs. Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and staff to create a supportive community. Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a positive learning atmosphere. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience and share best practices. Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that is conducive to learning. Support children with disabilities by adapting activities to meet their unique needs. Qualifications Preferred degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education. Preferred experience with lesson planning and implementing educational activities tailored for toddlers or preschool-aged children. Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and coworkers. Ability to manage a classroom effectively while maintaining a positive learning environment. A genuine love for working with children and helping them grow emotionally, socially, and intellectually.
