As a vital part of our childcare community, you will craft balanced menus, prepare meals with precision, and ensure food safety standards are upheld at all times. Your energetic approach and culinary expertise will help us deliver exceptional care and nutrition to children every day.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks for children following CACFP guidelines Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen Use basic math skills for meal counts, portioning, and inventory Place food orders through the Nicholas food ordering system/website Receive and properly store food and kitchen deliveries Put food orders away and organize storage areas Run occasional errands for kitchen or classroom supplies Assist in classrooms as needed to support staff and children Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs Follow all health, sanitation, and licensing requirements
Qualifications:
Knowledge of CACFP food program requirements preferred Basic math and organizational skills required Ability to multitask and be flexible with daily needs Comfortable using a computer for online food ordering Team player with a positive attitude Experience in food service or child care preferred Must be dependable and punctual
Schedule:
Monday-Friday, typically 7:00 AM•3:00 PM Schedule may vary on certain days depending on the needs of the center.
Pay:
$13•15 per hour depending on experience This role is paid and offers an engaging environment where your skills directly impact the health and happiness of children.
Pay:
$13.00•$15.00 per hour
