Child Care Director

Overview Under the direction of the Greater Wyoming Valley Area YMCA Vice President of Child Care, this position will create a positive, safe and supportive learning environment for the staff and children in their direct care. This position will maintain all DHS regulations, as well as maintain the Keystone STARS quality initiative throughout the center. This position will participate in all other Y activities as necessary, and fully support the mission of the Y. Essential Functions Support all staff under the child care umbrella Observe, assess and evaluate staff Hold monthly staff meetings Create and supervise a staff schedule Ensure staff are paid correctly Interview and hire quality staff Complete staff training & orientation ALWAYS maintain staff-to-child ration Follow all guidelines for Keystone STARS, DHS and the Y Participate in activities that support the Y Position is not limited to the above components Maintain compliance with licensing regulations and health & safety standards by c Qualifications Criminal Background, Child Abuse History Clearance, FBI Fingerprinting and NSOR Associates or Bachelors Degree in ECE, ELED or other related field Three years leadership experience Five years teaching Early Learning Experience Director Credential (may be done after hire) CPR/AED/First Aid Training To apply, email your resume and interest letter to jennifer.brennan@wvymca.org

$17.10 - $18.00 per hour
