In this role, you will be the driving force behind creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children while ensuring that staff, families, and community partners are supported and engaged. Your leadership will inspire excellence in early childhood education, promote compliance with licensing standards, and foster a collaborative team culture dedicated to the growth and development of young learners. Job Duties Provide visionary leadership to staff, guiding curriculum development, classroom management, and daily operations to ensure high-quality care and education. Oversee staff recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and ongoing professional development to maintain a motivated and skilled team. Build strong relationships with families by communicating effectively about their children's progress, addressing concerns promptly, and fostering a welcoming community atmosphere. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal licensing requirements, safety protocols, and health regulations. Manage administrative tasks such as budgeting, record-keeping, enrollment processes, and reporting to support smooth center operations. Collaborate with local educational agencies and community organizations to enhance program offerings and resources for children. Promote an environment that encourages positive social interactions among children and staff.
Qualifications Required Skills and Experience:
2 year of daycare/ childcare management experience preferred CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain Must be able to use a computer with basic proficiency Demonstrated leadership qualities Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to multitask and remain organized Ability to work within regular operating hours All applicants must meet the following DCFS state specific educational guidelines for the role: Minimum of an associate degree in child development or early childhood education or the equivalent (defined as 64 semester hours in any discipline with a minimum of 21 semester hours of college credit in child development, early childhood education or early childhood special education).
