Monday -Friday:
8:30am-3:30pm (hours may vary dependent on caseload) The Children's Mental Health Consultant provides consultation, Training and direct support to promote the social-emotional well-being for children o-5. As a trauma-informed, family-centered program, we are committed to helping children and families heal, grow, and thrive.Essential Functions:
Consultation and support: Provide on-site and virtual consultation; Observe children to identify needs; Collaborate to design and implement strategies.Training and capacity building:
Deliver professional development workshops and training on trauma-informed care, behavioral management and social-emotional development.Family Engagement:
Build trusting relationships with parents and caregivers to understand and support children's mental health needs.Program development and collaboration:
Collaborate with Program Directors and community partners to support mental health policies and practices.Documentation and compliance:
Maintain accurate, timely documentation of consultation activities, assessments and recommendations; Ensure compliance and confidentiality standards, mandated reporter guidelines, ethical practice requirements, funding sources and contracts.Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, counseling, Child Development or related field. Licensure as anLMFT, LCSW, LPCC
pr Psychologist in CA highly preferred. At least 1-2 years of experience working with children 0-5 and their families in a mental health or early childhood setting. Experience in trauma-informed care, family systems and supporting children impacted by poverty, adversity and stress. Familiarity with early childhood education systems (e.g. Head Start, state preschool programs). Demonstrated cultural responsiveness and experience working with under-resourced, multi-cultural communities. Reliable transportation required. Bilingual in Spanish/English preferred.General Requirements:
Valid California driver's license, good driving record, and reliable transportation (mileage reimbursed) Comfortable providing therapy in clinic, home, school, and community settings with travel Open to a range of treatment modalities to meet diverse client needs Strong verbal/written communication and collaboration skills Team-oriented and flexible in working with multidisciplinary teams Employer-paid benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life insurance, and LTD insurance valued at approximately $424.84 per pay period (about $5.23 per hour) Paid time off: 11 paid holidays + 1 birthday holiday 12 sick days per year 10-25 vacation days per year (based on tenure) 30 hours of bereavement leave Up to 2 weeks of paid jury dutyRetirement:
