Pay Range:
$39.61-56.12 We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team. This role is responsible for providing high-quality care to patients recovering from various levels of anesthesia, ensuring a safe and effective transition from surgery to recovery.Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care:
Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients emerging from anesthesia, monitoring for potential physical or psychosocial complications.Coordination:
Manage the treatment plan and MD orders while coordinating with the surgical team and other professional disciplines.Communication:
Document patient data accurately and provide essential education to patients and their families.Leadership:
Supervise unlicensed staff and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.Safety:
Adhere to nursing codes of ethics and hospital policies to maintain a high standard of patient safety.Qualifications & Requirements:
Licensure:
Current State Registered Nurse (RN) License.Certifications:
BLS required; ACLS and PALS must be obtained within 90 days of hire.Education:
Completion of a Critical Care Course (or willingness to complete within 6 months).Experience:
Previous nursing experience preferred; knowledge of anesthetic agents and patient responses is essential.Availability:
Must be able to fulfill on-call requirements.Physical:
Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift as needed.Skills & Attributes:
Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills. Excellent communication and patient teaching abilities.
