• Temporary We are seeking an energetic Christian Camp Director for a one-week Vacation Bible Camp assignment at Camp New Journey.

This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of the camp while providing leadership, supervision, coordination, and support for staff and campers. Flexibility in schedule is required, and the selected applicant must live on-site during camp week. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful spiritual impact by helping children grow in their faith, build friendships, and experience the love of Jesus Christ in a fun and safe camp environment. Responsibilities:

Program Development:

Implement a well-rounded program that includes a variety of activities such as arts and crafts, sports, team-building exercises, and outdoor adventures.

Staff Management:

supervise camp counselors and support staff. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, ensuring that all team members are aligned with the camp's mission and values.

Camper Engagement:

Interact with campers and their families, ensuring their needs and expectations are met. Create a welcoming atmosphere that encourages campers to build friendships, learn new skills, and have fun.

Safety Protocols:

Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure the well-being of campers and staff. Conduct regular safety drills and maintain a vigilant awareness of potential risks.

Communication:

Keep open lines of communication with parents, providing regular updates on camp activities, upcoming events, and addressing any concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a leadership role at a summer camp or similar program. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to inspire and motivate a team of diverse individuals. Passion for creating a positive and inclusive camp experience for children. Knowledge of safety protocols and experience in emergency response.
