Job Description

The Church Administrative Assistant serves as a vital member of the church staff by providing administrative, financial, and ministry support to help advance the mission and ministry of the church. This individual will support the pastor, staff, ministry leaders, and congregation through effective office management, communication, and organization while reflecting the values and mission of the Global Methodist Church. Position Summary The Church Administrative Assistant oversees day-to-day church office operations, maintains records and communications, assists with financial administration, and supports worship preparation and ministry events. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, technologically proficient, and able to maintain confidentiality while serving in a Christ-centered ministry environment. Responsibilities
  • Manage daily church office operations, phone calls, emails, correspondence, and church calendars
  • Prepare church communications including bulletins, newsletters, announcements, and ministry materials
  • Maintain church financial records, process invoices/payments, and assist with reporting using QuickBooks
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to create documents, spreadsheets, reports, and presentations
  • Prepare and manage worship slides, announcements, and media presentations using ProPresenter
  • Maintain church membership records, attendance, and databases Coordinate facility scheduling, ministry events, and volunteer communications
  • Provide administrative support to the pastor, church staff, and ministry leaders
  • Handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality Qualifications
  • Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Suite, and ProPresenter ( required )
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Professional, welcoming demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to support the mission, doctrine, and ministry of a Global Methodist Church Prior church or nonprofit administrative experience preferred
Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
