Circular Economy Quality Engineer

Job Title Circular Economy Quality Engineer Overview / Summary We are seeking a Circular Economy Quality Engineer to support quality engineering and continuous improvement initiatives across operations. This role collaborates closely with engineering, packaging, warehouse operations, and external suppliers to improve product quality, process compliance, warehouse quality performance, and supplier throughput. The ideal candidate will have experience in quality engineering, warehousing/depot operations, supplier quality, and cross-functional problem-solving. Key Responsibilities Lead and support product quality engineering improvements at both design and process levels. Partner with engineering, suppliers, packaging operations, and warehouse teams to drive quality improvement initiatives and implement process changes. Plan and execute process audits and verify corrective actions for compliance with product and process requirements. Ensure proper application of process methods and specifications within packaging and warehouse/depot operations. Develop and improve inspection procedures and best practices aligned with quality standards. Recommend and validate rework procedures to ensure effective containment and prevention of recurring issues. Implement and verify cost-effective corrective actions. Collaborate with Design Release Engineers (DREs) on product improvement activities and design-related quality updates. Support supplier quality performance and throughput improvement initiatives. Review and analyze returned parts to identify trends and root causes. Process non-conformance documentation and issue quality control communications as required. Support cost-saving initiatives through quality improvements, reduced rework, and process optimization. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience. Experience in Quality Engineering with exposure to warehousing/depot operations and supplier quality. Experience with process auditing, corrective action verification, and quality improvement implementation. Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills. Ability to analyze quality issues, drive containment actions, and implement sustainable corrective actions. Preferred Qualifications Experience in automotive service parts, remanufacturing, recycling, or circular economy environments. Familiarity with structured problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, or A3. Lean or Six Sigma experience preferred.
