Job Description

Job Summary Septic Design Network is seeking a Civil Engineer - P.E. to join our dynamic team in Sussex County NJ. As a Civil Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of engineering and inspection projects for septic, land development, site design, and grading projects in North Jersey. You will work closely with municipal and county representatives, inspectors, engineers, and project managers to ensure the successful completion of projects. Responsibilities Project Management:
Lead and manage civil engineering projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Manage and oversee jobs in our CRM system to ensure projects are completed on time.
Design and Analysis:
Perform engineering analysis, design calculations, and preparation of construction documents for various municipal engineering projects, including municipal and county-owned parks and other public facilities, transportation, and utility infrastructure.
Regulatory Compliance:
Navigate local, state, and federal regulations and permitting processes to secure approvals and ensure compliance with environmental, zoning, and safety requirements.
Client Interaction:
Establish and maintain positive client relationships through effective communication, project updates, and addressing client concerns to ensure customer satisfaction.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, surveyors, and other engineers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project objectives and exceed client expectations.
Skills Bachelor's Degree:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. Professional Engineer (PE)
License:
MUST hold a valid Professional Engineer license in the state of
New Jersey Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of civil engineering experience in residential and commercial septic system design is a must. Experience in the design of municipal stormwater and wastewater systems, combined sewers, site development, land planning, municipal and county roadways, construction administration and construction inspection is needed as well. Experience with the review of land development applications is a plus.
Software Proficiency:
Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant engineering software. Experience with hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software such as HydroCAD or project management software is a plus.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex technical information to clients and team members effectively.
