Class A Milk Truck Driver

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Milk Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving with a tanker. This role involves picking up and transporting milk across designated routes, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. Responsibilities Operate a tanker truck. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Measure and load milk at the dairy farm. Follow designated routes for deliveries while maintaining accurate logs of mileage and fuel usage. Ensure timely delivery of milk to the plant while adhering to schedules. Maintain communication with dispatch regarding any issues or delays encountered during transit. Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations governing commercial driving. Assist in the training of new drivers as needed. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Tanker endorsement on Class A license. Experience in truck driving with a focus on delivery driver experience preferred. Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Ability to load and unload milk safely and efficiently. Strong knowledge of route driving and navigation skills. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
