Class B Truck Driver(Garbage Truck)

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Class B Truck Driver specializing in garbage collection and waste management! In this energetic role, you'll operate a variety of commercial trucks, including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, and flatbeds, to ensure efficient waste collection across designated routes. Duties Safely operate Class B trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, tractor-trailers, and flatbeds to collect waste from residential and commercial sites Load and unload waste materials efficiently using mechanical knowledge of truck equipment and lifting techniques Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations Drive along assigned routes, adhering to traffic laws and safety protocols to ensure timely pickups Assist with maintenance tasks including basic mechanical troubleshooting and minor repairs when necessary Maintain accurate logs of pickups, routes completed, and any incidents or equipment issues Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding route updates or operational concerns Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating Class B trucks Proven experience driving heavy-duty trucks such as front loaders, rear loaders, roll-offs, dump trucks, or tractor-trailers Strong mechanical knowledge for routine vehicle inspections and minor repairs Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions Experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred but not mandatory Knowledge of waste collection procedures and safety regulations is highly desirable Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and customer service skills Join us in making a difference through responsible waste management!
