The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to safety and efficiency while transporting goods across various routes. This role requires not only driving expertise but also the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Experience with different types of vehicles, including flatbeds, vans, and dump trucks, is highly desirable. Duties Operate various types of trucks including flatbed, shuttle, van, and dump trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Load and unload cargo as required, utilizing forklift skills when necessary. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Provide mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting of vehicle issues during transit. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the truck. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience in operating flatbed trucks, shuttle driving, van driving, or heavy haul vehicles is preferred. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance tasks on the truck. Ability to operate a forklift safely is a plus. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Must be able to pass any required background checks or drug screenings.
