Cleaning Technician, Animal Caretaker, & Grounds Keeper

Must be able to pass a background check. Must be 18 years or older. Must have a Social Security Card & ID or a Valid Passport before applying. This is a very physical job that requires a lot of bending, crouching, lifting heavy objects, standing, walking & manual labor for the entire shift. This job requires someone that is reliable & will show up for work each day on time & ready to complete the daily tasks in a timely manner. Shift starting hours are early mornings from 6am to 7am (depending on time of year). Approximately 3-4 hours of cleaning inside of the store followed by 3-4 hours of work outside cleaning animal enclosures, feeding & watering the animals, picking up trash, emptying trash cans, wiping down tables, helping our gardener with any projects such as pulling weeds etc...

CLEANING TECHNICIAN

Responsibilities for The Cleaning Technician part of the job are as follows but not limited to: Keeping our buildings and property in a clean and orderly condition. Clean, stock and supply designated facility areas both inside and outside (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.) Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs Stock and maintain supply rooms Cooperate with the rest of the staff Follow all health and safety regulations

ANIMAL CARETAKER

You must be kind and caring for our animals Must be comfortable working around farm animals. We have Donkeys, Llamas, Alpacas, Sheep, Goats, Chickens, Geese & various other fowl on the property. Responsibilities for The Animal Caretaker part of the job are as follows but not limited to: Making sure animal shelters/houses are cleaned out every single day. This means shoveling animal poop & dirty bedding out daily & using a wheelbarrow to take it to its disposal site on the property. Putting clean bedding in the animal shelters/houses. Cleaning out the inside of the chicken coop every single day & providing clean bedding. Making sure the entire animal areas look well maintained & free of any garbage. We have pigs that root (dig holes). Those holes need to be filled back in daily & the rock raked back over. Walking the perimeter of the animal enclosures and looking for any area along the fence lines that may need repair or tending to. Spending time brushing the donkeys & sometimes the goats & pigs. Being interactive with the animals is important to keep them friendly for customers & for when they need to have routine vet care. Check every animal each day to make sure they don't have any issues. Cleaning & filling all water containers every day. Feeding the animals (different animals get different food).

GROUNDS KEEPER

Responsibilities for The Grounds Keeper part of the job are as follows but not limited to:

Outside Courtyard Area :

Clean & wipe down all tables & chairs, empty all trash cans, pick up any trash & sweep the pathways.

General Outside Maintenance :

Walking grounds & picking up any trash. Emptying the dog waste disposal trash cans. Once a week cleaning the grease trap. Cleaning the store windows as needed.

Garden/Landscaping:

Some days there will be time spent working with our gardener or instructions left for gardening tasks to perform such as pulling weeds or spreading dirt, etc.
