This position is a janitorial spot. You'll be working independently and cleaning, organizing, shining and dusting surfaces. You'll need good attention to detail and you'll need to manage yourself well. The position works on Tuesdays during the daytime and is flexible so that you can work during the hours that you are available as long as it falls between 8 and 5. Whoever takes the position may also elect to work additional hours during the week. Overview Join our dynamic team as a Cleaning & Maintenance Technician and play a vital role in ensuring our facilities are safe, spotless, and well-maintained. This position requires independence and attention to detail. Applicants should consider that cleaning will require training and feedback. In order to do well in this role, you must be willing to take constructive criticism when working towards the cleanest environment for our clients. If you can work with a continuous improvement mindset you will find this job is both rewarding and flexible. This role would be a good fit for someone who works full time or part time and is looking for a flexible way to pick up more hours and work independently. Because of the independent nature of the role, a high level of trust and confidence is required. You will coordinate directly with operations managers to clean facilities and you will be working after hours. Many weekend opportunities exist in this role and your schedule can be negotiated and changed to fit your needs. Responsibilities Perform daily cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, and sanitizing common areas to uphold high standards of cleanliness. Conduct routine inspections of facilities to identify maintenance issues such as leaks, broken fixtures, or safety hazards. Maintain cleaning supplies inventory and ensure all equipment is properly stored and functioning. Follow safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Document work performed and hold yourself and your buildings to a high cleanliness standard. Support special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning initiatives as needed to maintain hygiene standards. Requirements Professional cleaning experience preferred, if you have not worked cleaning professionally please come prepared to learn. Cleaning professionally is different than cleaning for yourself at home. A can do attitude will be needed. Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, vacuums, and pressure washers safely and effectively. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage your own time. Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods, must be able to lift 50 lbs. Knowledge of safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and maintenance work. Willingness to adhere to PPE requirements is required. Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving. Ability to work independently and on your own schedule, complete tasks before they are due and communicate back to leaders when tasks are finished and ready to be reported on.
