Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS
1. High school diploma or equivalent 2. Demonstrated competency in typing and word processing 3. Formal training beyond high school preferred
JOB GOAL
Contributes to the efficient operation of a school office
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Prepares letters, memos, reports, various forms, etc. 2. Answers telephone and meets the public 3. Maintains student attendance and other student records 4. Receives, examines, and routes incoming mail and correspondence 5. Distributes and records student medications 6. Processes free and reduced lunch applications 7. Prepares material for beginning and ending of school year 8. Files correspondence, invoices, cards, records, and reports 9. Maintains confidentiality regarding school personnel and students 10. Performs related duties as assigned

Salary Range:
According to Madison County Schools Salary Schedule. Actual salary will be determined by rank and experience. Current employees with questions regarding step placement on the salary schedule should contact the Personnel Department.
