About the department:

Dallas County Family Medical Center's qualified medical staff provide complete family health care for adults, children, mothers and infants; as well as walk-in hours for convenient and quick care for a sudden illness or injury.

A typical day will include:

Assisting in scheduling, handling telephone calls and routes to the appropriate person, including making patient appointments per appropriate guidelines set forth by the Provider/Clinic manager. Answering inquiries relating to services and fees, simple insurance inquiries and screen emergencies. Providing detailed messages, processing of forms, scanning, updating appropriate consent forms, updating insurance coverage, updating demographics, maintaining organization, and completing open and closing procedures. Communication with providers, and nursing staff. Responsible for exiting the patient in a courteous and pleasant manner and assisting them with any questions or problems they have prior to leaving the clinic.
