Key Responsibilities Support daily dispatch operations: Assist with route execution, load assignment, and monitoring freight movement to ensure service windows are met. Serve as an operations point of contact: Communicate with drivers, warehouse teams, and customer representatives regarding load status, ETAs, and service exceptions.
Track material flow:
Monitor inbound and outbound shipments, verify load details, and report discrepancies or risks to on‑time performance.
Maintain compliance and safety standards:
Follow company policies and
DOT/OSHA
requirements and escalate concerns as needed. Handle real‑time issues: Help resolve service disruptions such as delays, breakdowns, or accessorial issues by relaying information and documenting details accurately.
Maintain records and reporting:
Update manifests, logs, and system records; support performance tracking and basic KPI reporting.
Assist with continuous improvement:
Identify process gaps or recurring issues and share observations with leadership. Qualifications 0-3+ years of experience in logistics, dispatch, transportation, manufacturing, or distribution preferred. Bachelor's degree preferred but not required. Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Basic problem‑solving and data review skills. Familiarity with TMS or dispatch systems preferred. Working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets and comfort navigating dashboards or reports.
