Job Description

Position Summary The Medical Assistant provides administrative and clinical support for Delta Health Clinics. Responsibilities include assisting with patient care, documenting medical information in the EHR, scheduling appointments, communicating with patients and insurance companies, and supporting providers during examinations and procedures. Responsibilities Obtain vital signs and patient medical information Room and prepare patients for exams Assist providers during procedures and examinations Document patient encounters, procedures, and test results in the EHR Serve as a medical scribe when needed Administer injections, medications, wound care, and blood draws Schedule appointments and coordinate testing Answer calls, maintain records, and support clinic operations Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality Qualifications High school diploma or GED required CMA, EMT, or equivalent certification required upon hire or within 18 months BLS Certification required upon hire Previous medical assistant experience preferred Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills Knowledge of patient care and medical office procedures Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 20 pounds Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements Ability to work in a clinical environment with exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids Why Join Delta Health?
