Description
Performs registration and scheduling for patients. Obtains and verifies patient information regarding Medicaid, Medicare, Workers' Compensation and private insurance. Processes and files admission records and acts as a liaison with patient, family members or responsible party. Performs duties involved in receiving payments from patients, accounting for and balancing daily cash.
Work in coordination with Ancillary Services, PPC and Emergency Room Department.
Coordinates with Billing Department, cashiers, financial assistance programs and patients to accurately assess payer authorization and billing requirements.
Assures all registered accounts have been processed completely for end of month close out.
Work closely with prior authorization department to verify proper process when registering.
Evaluates and monitors work listed errors and facilitates correction of errors in a timely manner
Oversees the schedule process.

One year office/clinical experience in a medical setting preferred, or recent training in a similar field.
Education
