Renew ENT and Hearing Center (Edina, MN) is seeking collaborative Clinical Assistants to join our team! In this role, you will play a vital part in providing quality patient care and ensuring a smooth, welcoming healthcare experience. This is a great gap year opportunity for future health professionals.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting patient HPI (History of Present Illness) intake interviews
• Applying topical numbing as needed for nasal endoscopy and laryngoscopy
• Presenting to providers on patients' HPI
• Scribing providers' encounters including physical examination findings, review of imaging and audiogram/tympanograms, creating impressions and plans, applying diagnosis and procedure codes, sending referrals, and billing
• Providing patient education as requested
• Assist in in-office procedures
• Assist in set-up and review of CT scan of sinuses
• Maintain flow of clinic and communication between providers and clinic team
• Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms
• Medical instrument sterilization

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree (related to medical field or equivalent preferred)
• Intention to pursue career in healthcare (e.g., MD, PA, etc.)
• Excellent customer service, verbal, and written skills
• Ability to exercise good judgment and problem-solving skills
• Medical terminology
• 50+ wpm typing skills
• Daytime availability between 7:15 am and 4:30 pm every weekday for 8 hour shifts
