Additionally, it is the mission of the department to provide model comprehensive primary and consultative subspecialty care to children of eastern North Carolina, to advance scientific knowledge through basic and clinical research, and to provide continuing medical education opportunities for physicians in the region. Job Duties The Department of Pediatrics at East Carolina University, Brody School of Medicine, is seeking a full-time Pediatric Pulmonologist to join the Division of Pediatric Pulmonology Medicine. The Division is committed to providing excellent clinical care for infants and children with all types of lung disease in eastern North Carolina. The academic pediatric pulmonologist will provide excellent medical education (teaching) for residents, medical students, nursing students, and other learners. There is a very active outpatient clinic including a growing Cystic Fibrosis Program, along with consultative inpatient services within the James and Connie Maynard Children's Hospital, East Carolina University Health Medical Center. A Pediatric Sleep Lab is available and a Sedation Service is available to assist with bronchoscopies. Research opportunities are available.
