From emergent to elective, our facility offers a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient services, including those offered at the New Beginnings Birthing Center, the Advanced Healing Wound Care Center and our accredited chest pain center.

Position Summary:
The Clinical Coordinator assists with the daily coordination of personnel and resources within the scope of assignment. This role serves as a liaison between nursing departments and ancillary departments to promote continuity of care, optimize patient outcomes, enhance patient satisfaction, improve cost efficiency, and ensure regulatory and organizational compliance. The Clinical Coordinator supports operational excellence while maintaining high standards of patient-centered care.

Exempt Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Education:
Education level required in order for an applicant to qualify for license or certification.
BSN Preferred Required Skills:
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
Certifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
Licenses:
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing
Essential Job Functions:
Coordinates staff scheduling, educational and professional development activities, and performance evaluations Collaborates with physicians, nursing, pharmacy, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and clinical services Identifies and resolves issues affecting the delivery of clinical services Maintains constant communication between all nursing areas and registration to support efficient patient throughput Provides direct patient care as needed within scope of practice Inserts PICC lines when ordered by the physician Accesses Hickman catheters and port-a-cath lines when needed Responds to in-hospital emergencies to guide and assure appropriate outcomes Treats patients and families with respect, compassion, and dignity Rounds on post-surgical and procedural patients during assigned shift Provides "just in time" education and support for staff during daily operations Assists physicians with procedures as appropriate Reports incidents and unusual occurrences to department leadership promptly Provides moderate sedation when required and demonstrates knowledge of applicable policies and procedures Understands and practices within the RN scope of practice Promotes and upholds behavioral performance standards established by the facility
