Job Description

Clinical Coordinator, Pre-Surgical Testing, Emerson Health, Concord, MA Join Our Team We are looking for a detail-oriented and patient-focused Clinical Coordinator to support our Pre-Surgical Testing team. In this role, you will serve as an important point of coordination for patients arriving for surgery while providing both administrative and clinical support to the unit. The Clinical Coordinator helps ensure that patients are welcomed, prepared, and supported throughout the pre-surgical process. This position combines patient-facing responsibilities, clinical assistance, and administrative coordination, making it a great opportunity for someone interested in expanding their experience in a hospital or surgical care environment. Key Responsibilities As a Clinical Coordinator, you will play a vital role in supporting the Pre-Surgical Testing team by: Greeting and checking in patients scheduled for surgical procedures Providing administrative and operational support to the Pre-Surgical Testing unit Preparing and completing surgical charts and required documentation Entering physician orders and maintaining accurate patient records Performing venipuncture (phlebotomy) and EKG services for surgical patients as needed Ensuring patient information is handled confidentially and in compliance with healthcare regulations Delivering excellent customer service to patients, families, and staff Assisting with coordination of patient flow to help maintain efficient and safe surgical preparation Minimum Qualifications Education High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred Experience Previous hospital experience preferred Experience working in a medical office or healthcare environment helpful Phlebotomy and EKG experience preferred Licensure / Certification None required Skills & Competencies Strong customer service and patient communication skills Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English Proficiency with computers and electronic medical record (EMR) systems Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of patient information Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
