Job Description
We are seeking a Clinical Director or Assistant Clinical Director to support and strengthen our Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) program in Minneapolis. This role is ideal for a clinically strong, reliable professional with experience in IRTS programming and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) who is passionate about building high-quality behavioral health services. The Clinical Director / Assistant Clinical Director will work collaboratively with the current Clinical Director to oversee clinical operations, maintain program quality, and help expand and strengthen our DBT programming , including the development of DBT group lessons and curriculum for clients. This position may be structured as part-time or full-time depending on experience and availability . Key Responsibilities Support clinical leadership of the IRTS program in compliance with Minnesota
DHS 245I
standards. Collaborate closely with the Clinical Director on clinical operations, treatment planning, and program development. Develop, implement, and evaluate treatment protocols aligned with evidence-based practices and regulatory standards such as JCAHO accreditation requirements. Develop and facilitate DBT programming , including creating group curriculum, lesson plans, and therapeutic activities . Provide clinical guidance and support to mental health practitioners and program staff. Strong background in medical management and healthcare management principles to oversee clinical operations effectively. Ensure proper clinical documentation, treatment plans, and program standards are maintained. Monitor program outcomes, quality assurance metrics, and compliance with healthcare regulations to ensure optimal service delivery. Assist with program development and quality improvement initiatives . Participate in clinical meetings, case consultations, and staff supervision when needed. Maintain a strong presence in the program and help foster a supportive therapeutic environment for clients and staff. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement. Excellent communication skills to engage staffs, clients, families, and external professionals. Qualifications Experience working in IRTS or similar intensive mental health programs required. Proven experience in managing mental health programs within residential or outpatient settings. Strong knowledge and experience with Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) , including developing DBT curriculum or group programming . Extensive knowledge of clinical treatment modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and other evidence-based interventions. Licensed or license-eligible mental health professional preferred (LPCC, LICSW, LMFT, or LP), though experienced practitioners with strong DBT and program leadership backgrounds will be considered. Master's or Doctoral degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related mental health field; licensure required (e.g., LCSW, LMFT, PhD). Strong organizational, leadership, and collaboration skills. Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and commitment to quality client care . Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Position Details Flexible schedule - Part-time or full-time opportunities available. Competitive compensation based on experience.
