Job Description

Category Schools - SLP - CFY Job Type Contract Step into an engaging and impactful position supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CFY) for the upcoming school year. Situated in a supportive educational environment, you'll work exclusively within one school, building strong relationships with your caseload of 25 to 30 students in grades K-5. This contract role is ideal for professionals passionate about fostering communication skills among young learners. Your workday runs from 8:25 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., totaling 35.5 hours per week, allowing you to experience a balanced routine and meaningful connections with your students. Your assignment spans the 2026-2027 academic year, with the opportunity to participate in new staff training before the school year begins.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field. Eligible for Illinois state licensure as an SLP or CFY. Credentialed as SLP-CCC or in Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) status. Experience within school settings or working with K-5 students is highly valued. Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Your Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of 25-30 elementary students needing speech-language therapy. Develop and implement individualized treatment and resource plans. Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to drive positive outcomes. Monitor student progress and maintain detailed documentation in compliance with school policies. Engage in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to IEP development.
