Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Medical Scribe to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will assist healthcare professionals by accurately documenting patient encounters in real-time, ensuring comprehensive and precise medical records. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining insight into medical practices while developing their administrative skills within a dynamic clinical environment. Prior office or administrative experience is advantageous, but full training will be provided. Duties Attend patient consultations alongside healthcare providers to transcribe and document clinical notes efficiently and accurately. Record detailed information regarding patient histories, symptoms, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Ensure all documentation complies with legal, ethical, and organisational standards of confidentiality and data protection. Assist with maintaining organised and up-to-date patient records to facilitate seamless healthcare delivery. Collaborate with medical staff to clarify documentation details as needed, supporting effective communication within the team. Manage administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, processing documentation requests, and supporting clinic operations as required. Skills Proven experience in an office or administrative setting is desirable, demonstrating organisational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written communication skills with the ability to accurately transcribe complex medical terminology swiftly. Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently within fast-paced environments. Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems or willingness to learn new software platforms. A proactive attitude with keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in documentation. This role provides a valuable pathway for individuals aspiring to pursue careers in healthcare or medical administration, offering practical experience within a supportive team environment.
