Saint John Hospital—Leavenworth, KS •Opening to Newly Graduated Pharmacist •We are seeking an experienced and proactive Clinical Pharmacist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing medication therapy, ensuring patient safety, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes. Proficient in sterile compounding, USP 797/800 compliance, and hospital regulatory standards, with demonstrated involvement in antimicrobial stewardship, quality improvement initiatives, and adherence to clinical protocols. https://www.primehealthcare.com/careers/benefits/ Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to): Review, verify, and optimize inpatient medication orders for safety and appropriateness Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams during rounds to support evidence‑based therapy Oversee medication dispensing and sterile/non‑sterile compounding per
USP 797/800
Perform medication reconciliation during admissions, transfers, and discharges Educate patients and serve as a drug‑information resource for staff Support medication safety initiatives, adverse event reporting, and regulatory compliance Manage medication inventory, emergency supplies, and pharmacy operations Participate in antimicrobial stewardship and other clinical programs Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
You must have:
Current state: Registered Pharmacist License. Experience in hospital pharmacy operations is preferred. A B.S. degree in Pharmacy is required; a Doctor of Pharmacy degree is preferred.
