Job Title:
Clinical Respiratory Sales Representative Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and clinically experienced Respiratory Therapist to serve as a Clinical Respiratory Sales Representative. This strategic role combines clinical expertise with proactive sales development to expand referral networks and advance home ventilation programs. The successful candidate will play a vital role in promoting patient-centered care through fostering strong relationships with hospital and healthcare providers, ultimately driving growth and improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, maintain, and strengthen referral relationships with hospitals, pulmonologists, hospitalists, case managers, and respiratory departments, focusing on ventilator referrals and CPAP opportunities. Conduct clinical education sessions, presentations, and in-service trainings to healthcare professionals, emphasizing clinical benefits and proper utilization of ventilation devices. Facilitate seamless patient transitions from hospital to home care by providing clinical support and follow-up education. Gather and analyze market intelligence to identify growth opportunities, competitive activities, and emerging industry trends. Collaborate with internal teams—including marketing, technical, and operational staff—to ensure aligned efforts and optimal patient care. Document activities, referrals, and interactions accurately within company systems. Travel extensively (approximately 80% or more), within a radius of up to 150 miles, to cover assigned territories effectively.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Texas or Oklahoma. Minimum of two years of healthcare sales, referral development, or related clinical experience. Established relationships with hospital-based referral sources and clinical providers. Hands-on experience with mechanical ventilation and familiarity with clinical protocols. Exceptional communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently, manage a territory efficiently, and adapt to evolving healthcare landscapes. Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in DME, LTACH, or critical care environments. Familiarity with hospital referral process workflows and EMR systems such as Brightree. Clinical experience in critical care or durable medical equipment (DME) settings.
Additional Requirements:
Willingness to travel approximately 80% or more within the designated territory. Ability to provide hands-on patient setup and follow-up, as needed. Adherence to all regulatory, safety, and ethical standards.
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary:
$70,000 to $80,000 DOE.
Commission:
Monthly commissions based on referral performance.
Bonuses:
Quarterly performance-based incentives.
