Category Pharmacy - Clinical Pharmacist Job Type Contract A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available in Renton, WA, offering a dynamic role supporting inpatient pharmacy functions. This contract position is ideal for pharmacists with a passion for patient care and a preference for candidates who have experience in chemotherapy or oncology.
Schedule and Duration:
Variable days and afternoon shifts 8-hour shifts Contract term of 16+ weeks; potential for temp-to-hire transition
Responsibilities:
Verify medication orders using Epic pharmacy system Perform final product verification checks to ensure safety and accuracy Provide clinical drug information and answer related questions Oversee pharmacy technician activities to maintain workflow efficiency Participate in Code Blue and other emergency responses within the hospital setting Utilize technologies including Epic and Pyxis medication dispensing systems
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Licensed pharmacist with active credentials Experience dispensing chemotherapy/oncology medications strongly preferred Skilled in order verification and clinical pharmacy practices Comfortable managing pharmacy technicians and emergency protocols Proficiency with Epic and Pyxis systems is essential Strong communication skills and clinical knowledge This contract role provides an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced hospital environment with variable shifts.
