Job Description

Clinical Supervisor Location:
Gardena, CA (Hybrid, 2 days in office / 3 days remote)
Pay:
$42 to $50/hr

Contract to Hire or Direct Hire Overview A behavioral health organization in the Gardena area is seeking an experienced Clinical Supervisor to join their clinical team. This individual will oversee a growing intern program, support licensed and license-eligible clinicians, and ensure documentation and compliance standards are met. The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in community mental health, county system experience, and a patient but direct approach to mentorship and supervision. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical supervision to associate clinicians and interns in compliance with California BBS standards Review, approve, and co-sign clinical documentation as required Ensure documentation meets quality, regulatory, and funding requirements Support staff with client management, crisis intervention, and clinical best practices Coordinate and deliver clinical training for intern cohorts Maintain communication with academic institutions for intern oversight and evaluations Collaborate with program leadership to ensure continuity of care Participate in quality assurance and program improvement initiatives Requirements Active, clean California license required (LMFT preferred; LCSW or LPCC considered) Minimum 2 years post-licensure Experience in community mental health or behavioral health services County system experience strongly preferred (LA County DMH or SAPC) EHR experience required (MyEvolv/Netsmart familiarity a plus) Demonstrated tenure; 3 or more years in a role is strongly preferred Masters degree required Ideal Candidate Patient and direct communication style with strong mentorship instincts Comfortable supervising and educating Gen Z clinicians and trainees Organized and detail oriented with a strong understanding of documentation deadlines Familiar with SUD populations and the realities of community mental health Able to navigate a team going through change with professionalism and composure
